Our History

Scott-Del Electric, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Scott Sagert as a one-man operation. Scott’s parents, Del and Elly Sagert, joined the company as active partners in 1984, Del as vice president and Elly as bookkeeper/receptionist. Jeff Ferguson came on board shortly thereafter, referring to himself as the dash between Scott and Del.

Del and Elly retired in 1991 and Alan Guss joined the company as controller the same year. Jeff and Alan were named company officers in 1995.

Scott  lost his valiant struggle with cancer in 2011, and Jeff and Alan acquired the company. James Savell, a long-time employee, was named vice president in 2012.

Scott-Del has enjoyed a measured and steady growth throughout its 30+ years, and today is a moderately sized company that continues to build on its reputation for being service oriented and ethically, professionally and financially responsible.
